On Top of Mt LeConte after All Day Hike Right after retirement in September, 2003, we took an overnight trip to the top of Mt LeConte in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.  This picture was taken in the evening right after dinner was served in the lodge.  The weather was a little chilly and windy but the views from the top of the mountain were excellent.
This is our second mode of transportation.  It is a BMW K1200LTC.  It comes complete with all the amenities for enjoying a long and comfortable ride.  It has items like, heated seats and hand grips, intercom system, GPS navigation, true cruise control, 6 Disc stereo system, and for Karla, a vanity mirror in the rear luggage compartment.  The picture is from our ride to Tortilla Flat near Mesa, Arizona. Home on the Road In early 2004, we bought a new rig to provide more space and comfort as we full time in our RV.  This 36 foot long rig has many amenities like 3 slides, 12 cu ft refrigerator, king size bed, two heat pumps, 27" TV complete with 5.1 surround sound stereo system and of course satellite Internet for keeping in touch and maintaining this Web site.  The picture shows how our rig looks as it travels down the road.
In 2006, we sold our Marblemount Property so we were able to afford our dream of a luxury Motor Coach, a 2006 Monaco Windsor.  See Photo Album Windsor showing more pictures and details of our Motor Coach. New Motorhome
A Little About Us
Larry worked as an engineer in the defense industry for 31 years and decided it was time to discover other things in life.  Karla also worked in the defense business for 16 years but then decided to support Larry on his way to retirement.  We are now doing this Web Page so that others can follow us on our discoveries of this great country.

Karla was born and raised in Walla Walla, Wa. while Larry was born in Brazil, In. but moved with his family to Florida in 1959 to be raised as a Floridian.  Even though Washington and Florida are about as far apart in the USA as you can get,  Larry and Karla were able to meet in 1988 while working for Honeywell Marine Systems in Seattle, Wa. and were married August 9, 1990.
