The Karla Kronicles #17 - Washington to Florida Travels, Part 4 Now We Really Are Florida Residents!

Dear Kronicle Readers, So now it's Late Spring 2008. Larry has become involved in a development project with Teknologic (Edmonds, WA). His "office space" really came in handy and he's enjoying being able to talk and work with Brent and his Teknologic team of Engineers. These folks are former Honeywell/Raytheon co-workers, so I'm also enjoying the "re-connection". Brent sent Larry the necessary software and he bought an additional computer for his office. I think he enjoys working from home, but if we had gone on our trip, he could have done a lot of the work from the RV. We just weren't ready to leave the house yet for a long period of time. Too many responsibilities with a new house, especially with a pool, and while we insisted the house would not tie us down and I don't expect it will as much in the future, for this first summer, there are just too many new things happening to drive away for 3-4 months to continue our "full-timing" status. So...as the story goes...
I flew home for 3 weeks to visit Mom, see some local Walla Walla Friends and Family and drive Mom and my Auntie Elveda to a Family Wedding in Portland. My nephew, Andrew McCauley married Lily Ho on 8/9/08. Hey! Good Date - That's Our Anniversary! So on our 18th Anniversary, which was also Larry's Parent's 63rd Anniversary; I was in Portland Oregon celebrating Andy and Lily's Special Day. Larry rode his motorcycle down to Riverview to celebrate with Wayne and Hazel. Dave and Diana came and took them all out to dinner! Oh well, there will be many more Anniversaries for us to celebrate together. I am so glad I got to be in Portland with my Mom and my Sisters. It was the first time that Mom, Katy, Karen, and I had been together in 9 years. Congratulations Andrew & Lily!!!!



Dear Readers, What's this...are we really caught up? No, not quite....Stay tuned for Karla Kronicles #18...it will highlight our time during our "mini-vacation" which started on Nov. 3, 2008, and takes us through the Holidays here in Florida. So what's coming up? Well, there's 3 days at Peace River 1000 Trails (and old Coast to Coast RV Park); we were apprehensive about going there but were pleasantly surprised... And the DataStorm User's Rally...just what sort of mischief did we get into when visiting Rally Park and LazyDays RV Center right across the street...you'll just have to read Kronicles #18 to find out!
